Case Study
The heavily wooded 6.4-acre site located on Highway 17 provided an ideal backdrop for a community store. In keeping with the local character of the region the Owner wanted to recreate a rustic rural marketplace, modeled after a traditional gristmill. During the design process and in an effort to reduce building costs a pre-manufactured metal building was implemented to become the envelope for the store. Essentially two metal building packages were combined: a high bay for entry and check-out; and the second, a low slope building for the stock aisles. This resulted in an overall project cost of forty-two dollars per square foot.
